FREDERICK, Md., (July 16, 2026) – Edgewater Federal Solutions, Inc. (Edgewater) announced it has been awarded a 5-year contract to serve as the IT managed service provider for Argonne National Laboratory (Argonne), one of the nation’s foremost multidisciplinary research centers operated by UChicago Argonne, LLC for the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE).
Under this contract, Edgewater will deliver comprehensive managed IT services to support Argonne’s critical research mission across energy, environment, national security, and STEM disciplines. Located on a 1,500‑acre campus in Lemont, Illinois, Argonne employs more than 4,500 personnel, including approximately 1,600 scientists and engineers, and supports thousands of users at its world‑class scientific facilities.
Edgewater’s managed services solution delivers comprehensive IT support designed to sustain world‑class research operations at Argonne. Services include service desk operations to ensure uninterrupted research activity, on‑site and remote end‑user support, integrated IT and audio‑visual services, and management of Argonne’s ITSM platform. Together, these capabilities provide a scalable, flexible, and resilient hybrid support model aligned with industry’s best practices.
