Edgewater Federal Solutions is proud to announce the next chapter in the Foundation’s journey. Formerly known as The Encantado Foundation, the organization is now the Edgewater Elevates Foundation.
For more than four years, the Foundation has invested in programs that expand access to STEM education, workforce development, and career pathways for future technology professionals. Through charitable grantmaking, network cultivation, and capacity-building initiatives, the Foundation has supported organizations working to create opportunity and strengthen the next generation of technology talent.
The new name and visual identity reflect a closer alignment with Edgewater Federal Solutions while honoring the purpose that has guided the Foundation from the beginning. This evolution creates a clearer connection between Edgewater and the Foundation, strengthens awareness of their shared commitment to people and communities, and positions the Foundation to expand its reach and partnerships.
While the name is changing, the mission remains focused on developing hire-ready candidates for STEM-related positions, particularly in cybersecurity, application development and management, and IT operations. The Foundation will continue supporting technology education, hands-on learning, certification attainment, career pathway support, and community-based programs that help learners move toward meaningful careers in technology.
The name Edgewater Elevates captures what has always been at the heart of the Foundation’s work: helping people, organizations, and communities reach new heights. It reflects the belief that opportunity grows when STEM education, community partners, and workforce development come together.

Since 2022, the Foundation has awarded more than $2 million in charitable grants supporting hire-ready training, STEM learning opportunities, career pathway development, and greater access to STEM fields for youth and young adults. Its work also includes cultivating connections among grantee leaders and helping organizations build the capacity needed to strengthen and scale their programs.
As the Edgewater Elevates Foundation, the organization will continue building on that legacy through Impact Grants, Community Based Grants, and Board Directed Seed Grants. These programs support hire-ready initiatives, broaden access to STEM learning and careers, and strengthen the high-technology ecosystem.
This is more than a new name. It is a renewed expression of the Foundation’s purpose and a stronger platform for future impact. Edgewater and the Edgewater Elevates Foundation share a commitment to empowering people, creating opportunity, and strengthening the communities where we live and work.
